COVID-19 Update: BLENDED COURSES
Due to COVID-19, we are now offering blended courses to help you obtain an interim WSIB certificate from the comfort of your own home. Our blended programs allow participants to complete the Theory Portion of the course online and receive a temporary certificate recognized by the WSIB as appropriate for employment and education purposes.
This certificate is valid for 60 days, at which point participants will then be required to complete the Practical Skills portion of their certification during an in-class session. Sign up today and get your interim WSIB certification from the safety of your own home!
CPR Level C - Blended
This four-hour CPR & AED program complies with the ILCOR 2016 consensus guidelines, with a focus on training individuals to recognize and respond to cardiovascular emergencies and choking for adults, children, and infants. Suitable for workplace employees, the general public, or students seeking certification, successful completion of the program will be rewarded with a Lifesaver 101 certificate valid for three years, although Lifesaver 101 recommends annual re-certification. An upgrade to HCP can also be done at the time of registration.
COURSE OUTLINE:
Understand the role of a first aider
Discuss personal safety and legalities concerning CPR.
Learn to manage emergency situations and assess when to call 9-1-1
Administer adult, child, and infant CPR and use AED
Recognize and manage medical emergencies
Learn how to recognize shock and provide first aid to treat the cause
Recognize and manage heart attack, angina, and stroke
Recognize and manage choking for conscious and unconscious individuals

CPR Level HCP (BLS) - Blended
This first aid and CPR training is suitable for individuals working as part of a health care team, such as doctors, nurses, paramedics, dentists, dental hygienists, pharmacists, physiotherapists, or students or educators in health-related education programs.
This program focuses on advanced resuscitation skills, including artificial respiration, the use of a Bag Valve Mask (BVM), and jaw thrust skills in head/spinal injury. This is a WSIB Regulation 1101-compliant course.

Emergency First Aid & CPR Level C - Blended
This course is for individuals who need basic information on first aid and CPR. This is a WSIB Regulation 1101-compliant course for workplaces with not more than 5 employees. This course is also suitable for people seeking training for educational and personal interests. The program includes CPR training for adults (CPR level A) and adult, infant, and child casualties CPR level C), as well as the use of automated external defibrillation (AED). The participants will be provided with a Lifesaver 101 certificate upon successful completion of the program.

Standard First Aid & CPR Level C – Blended
This is a comprehensive course that teaches individuals how to respond to and manage the emergency scene. It offers skills in CPR training and the use of AED for adult, child, and infant casualties, as well as prepares individuals in recognizing and treating life-threatening emergencies such as choking, profuse bleeding, and anaphylaxis. This is a WSIB Regulation 1101-compliant course for workplaces with more than five employees. The participants will be provided with a Lifesaver 101 certificate upon successful completion of the program.
